I am alarmed that the American government is going to declare the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, a division of the Iranian military, a Terrorist group.
Diplomats around the world are expressing their shock that this designation might be approved and the consequences, which will inevitably arise from this implementation.
The region is a powder keg with multiple regional conflicts that could easily escalate into conflicts that one country cannot contain by itself.
As a result of this unprecedented move by the US to declare an army of a sovereign nation, a terrorist group, they will be able to confiscate any funds or holdings.
The alarming thing for me is that this designation; if approved, will allow the United States to proceed with legal Air Strikes against Iran as approved by Congress under the 9-11 terror legislation.
Already Iran has put their military on high alert and just now made a declaration that they possess missiles that can attack any ships in the Persian Gulf and have pointed out that this is where the American Battle Groups are now.
We have already seen that Russia has made a protection treaty with Iran in exchange for natural resources, and the Russians are flexing their muscles this week by reviving an old Cold War act of flying their supersonic nuclear bombers over NATO Military Installations.
I believe that Air strikes against Iran are imminent as the Bush administration is nearing its end and these strikes will be the catalyst that will push Iran to act aggressively and will pave the way for Israeli Air strikes on Iranian Nuclear Installations.
The Revolutionary Guard made the following statement this morning:
"Those who are absorbed by the world's materialism cannot understand the depth of the spiritual power and iron will of the Revolutionary Guards. The historic victory will be with the children of Islam against the world infidels.
If the sworn enemy of the revolution wants to have any military provocation in the Persian Gulf against Iran's borders then the Persian Gulf will be come a hell for them".
Ali Razmjou, Revolutionary Guard Naval Commander
The Revolutionary Guard (Pasdaran) is the most committed supporter of the Islamic government in Iran. Many of the leaders of Iran come from the ranks of the Revolutionary Guard.
The Pasdaran were created in the beginning days of the Islamic Revolution because Ayatollah Khomeini did not trust the Iranian Army of the former Shah of Iran to fully support the revolution. The Pasdaran were created to counter any possible future military coup.
